Welcome to our service

Our service offers support, maintenance and repairs. NHS wheelchairs provided on loan are maintained by the Wheelchair Repairs Service (WRS).

We will not maintain any wheelchair that has not been provided by Norfolk Wheelchair Assessment Services. If you service was provided through a Personal Health Budget, it is your responsibility to have your wheelchair maintained.

You wheelchair will need to be inspected yearly. We will visit you to inspect your wheelchair.

It is your responsibility to contact our service to request a visit if:

  • you have any problems with your wheelchair
  • your wheelchair has not been inspected within its service due date

There are some decisions our technicians cannot make by themselves as the decision needs clinician approval. We will contact a clinician if this type of needs to be made.

You can also contact the Wheelchair Assessment Service if there is anything our technicians cannot help you with.
