Bedfordshire Adult Community Healthcare Services

The neurological rehabilitation team (NRT) is for adults who require a specialist rehabilitation program in a community setting. The Bedfordshire stroke early supported discharge service (ESD) facilitates those admitted to acute stroke units to be discharged home sooner.

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Service ensure that people, who have complex needs following an acquired brain injury, receive timely, person-centred and evidence-based rehabilitation.

We support adults in Bedfordshire and Luton. We assess and advise on dietary issues. This includes malnutrition, gut problems, nutritional deficiencies and home enteral tube feeding.

Our team work to improve people’s access to safe and evidence based nutrition and hydration care. We provide a personalised food based approach for managing malnutrition.

We support adults requiring home enteral tube feeding. We provide personalised feeding plans to ensure adults meet their nutritional and hydration needs.
