Bedfordshire Neuro Therapy Services (Acquired Brain Injury, Early Supported Discharge and Community Neuro Rehabilitation) continue to work together and meet clinical priorities.
Bedfordshire Neuro Therapy Services provide a range of pathways delivered by specialist inter-disciplinary teams comprising of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychology and Assistant Practitioners.
The service supports a Home First model. We provide specialist rehabilitation for adults whilst ensuring other health, psychological and social care needs are addressed.
Our approach is individualised, patient-centred and evidence-based.

Neuro Therapy
Clinical co-ordination of specialist in-patient rehabilitation
Clinical co-ordination of specialist in-patient rehabilitation for people with stroke, complex acquired brain injury (ABI) and other neurological conditions.
Community rehabilitation
For patients in the community living with an acquired brain injury, longer-term needs from stroke or other neurological conditions. The pathway supports engagement with other groups and services.
Early Supported Discharge (ESD) for stroke
For patients in the community living with an acquired brain injury, longer-term needs from stroke or other neurological conditions.
6 month review post stroke
Providing stroke secondary prevention, stroke recovery and disability management.
Environmental Controls
A specialist resource aimed at guiding community colleagues to the use of mainstream devices and technology.

Neuro Therapy
Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Service
This is a Bedfordshire based service. We strive to ensure that people, who have complex needs following an acquired brain injury, receive timely, person-centred and evidence-based rehabilitation.
Bedfordshire Neuro Rehabilitation and Early Support Discharge Stroke Service
Our services help people who have long term neurological conditions, or strokes who require a specialist rehabilitation program in a community setting.
