Support networks

We have many different support networks. These are forums for staff to meet and talk about their lived experiences. They are a way for you to get involved, discuss issues and make suggestions. 

Armed Forces Network

Our Armed Forces Network provides support and community for people in the Armed Forces Community.

Caring responsibilities network

A network for anyone who cares for another person. It is for staff in the maternity/paternity space, parental responsibility roles (biological/ adoption/fostering) and working carers of loved ones.

LGBTQIA+ Network

Our LGBTQ+ Network is for all staff and will be shaped by you. Share your experience, news and recommendations for all things LGBTQ+ or queer.

Diverse abilities network

For staff with long-term conditions, disabilities and neurodiversity. The group is for anyone who self-identifies as having a long term condition, a disability or neurodiversity. You do not need a formal diagnosis to get involved.

Cultural diversity network

Creating an inclusive safe space for colleagues to discuss and share personal experiences and ideas. We celebrate diversity and the individuals we have within the Trust from varied backgrounds.

Carer Friendly Tick Award

Carer Friendly Tick employers demonstrate dedication to identifying and supporting carers. It showcases our commitment to supporting unpaid carers within our workforce, creating a healthier, more inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.

Disability confident leader

Disability Confident is a government initiative that helps employers recruit and retain disabled people. Employers can sign up to the scheme if they are committed to, or already taking, specific actions to support disabled staff.

Sunflower hidden disabilities

sunflower hidden disabilities logoThe Sunflower discreetly indicates to people around the wearer including staff, colleagues and health professionals that they need additional support, help or a little more time.

NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award

NHS pastoral care quality awardLaunched by the NHS England Nursing International Recruitment Programme, NHS Pastoral Care Quality Award is a scheme that supports NHS trusts to provide high-quality pastoral care to internationally educated nurses and midwives.

We meet the set of standards for best practice pastoral care that were co-developed with regional and trust international recruitment leads and international nursing and midwifery association.
