NHS Impact training

Who the training is for

This training is suitable for clinical and operational staff between NHS bands 6 to 8a (or equivalent).

Colleagues who have previously completed the QI Academy are also welcome to attend. There will be some overlap with ThinkQI concepts. The operational improvement training programme will also cover operational management, providing additional practical insights.

Quality Improvement approaches and tools will help us build on what we are already doing, address challenges like patient flow, efficiency and outcomes as well as get ready for future shifts, including those outlined in the NHS 10 year Plan.

What to expect

Before the workshop, you will receive a pack with useful resources to get you started.

The workshop will be led by a trained NHS Impact facilitator. The workshop will be in person, hands-on, interactive with real-world scenarios. It will empower you to deliver meaningful change in healthcare, enhancing both patient care and operational performance.

After the workshop you will have access to resources, reflective exercises, peer support networks, and further relevant online workshops.

Additional pathway-specific online workshops will be available once you have completed the core in person workshop. These include diagnostics, elective care, UEC, cancer and mental health. These extra workshops have been designed for acute staff and will not be relevant for everyone.

To book onto a workshop, follow these steps:

  1. Get approval from your line-manager.
  2. Save the date in your calendar.
  3. Register your interest with the Improvement and Transformation Team.
  4. Wait for an email with booking instructions.

Depending on where you live and if you can travel, you may want to attend a session organised by another Trust. If you do secure a space at another Trust, email the Improvement and Transformation teamĀ ccs.improvementteam@nhs.net
