Our research studies

Our Trust supports many research projects. These include National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Portfolio and non-portfolio studies, industry, commercial studies and student projects.

We provide support at BSc, MSc, PhD and postdoctoral levels. Supervision, mentoring and coaching are available during the programme of work or as part of a Fellowship submission process.

NIHR portfolio research studies

We support adoption and delivery of National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) portfolio studies across our services. We are eager to work with people who use our services, volunteers and research champions.

Non-portfolio studies

Non-portfolio studies are studies that are not in the NIHR portfolio. This includes student major projects and research external to the NHS.

We have a range of ongoing studies with HRA approval.

How we share our research (research dissemination)

The results of research studies are shared after the research is finished. This is called research dissemination. It is important to inform the relevant groups about the results of your study.

These include:

  • healthcare staff
  • people who took part in the research
  • people who benefit from the research findings
