Norfolk Specialist Palliative Care Day Unit (John Pierce Wing Day Services unit)
We provide multidisciplinary support for people who are dealing with advanced progressive incurable illnesses for example cancer, motor neurone disease and end stage heart failure.
Treatment and care are based on the expert knowledge of the professional team in consultation with the patients, their families and carers. Patients initially attend weekly for a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Goals are set and regularly reviewed by the multidisciplinary team.
We also run a Breathlessness Service within the Day Unit to help support patients and their carers living with this difficult symptom.
