Luton Cancer Care Service

Contact us

You can contact our service Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.

If you are feeling unwell or have concerns about the CVAD line, contact the chemotherapy suite or ward where your treatment was given.

Welcome to our service

Our Team support all Luton patients with a cancer diagnosis regardless of where they are having treatment. Our Cancer Care Services are part of an integrated model, working closely with Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

Clinical care is delivered jointly with the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Keech Hospice, GPs and other professionals. We see patients in community based clinics and in their own home.

Please note that we are unable to see patients in care homes.

We provide support for patients, families and carers with:

  • symptom management
  • patient education
  • signposting to other services

Our clinical areas

Our services are supported by a consultant psychologist, family therapist and a welfare benefits advisor (where appropriate).

We focus on 2 main clinical areas.

This service supports cancer patients with complex needs who are on a Living with and Beyond Cancer pathway, and provide access to psycho-social care within the community setting. Depending on your clinical need you will be seen at home (excluding care homes), or in a clinic at Luton Treatment Centre Vestry Close.

Central Venous Access Devices (CVADs) service

This service is supported by a CNSs and Navigator CVAD nurse. Depending on your clinical need you will be seen at home (excluding care homes), or in a clinic at Luton Treatment Centre Vestry Close.
