Lynda Thomas CBE has announced she will be stepping down from her role as Chair of the Trust at the end of December.
Lynda has led the successor organisation and combined Trust since the beginning of 2023, guiding us through the creation of our Group and through our recent merger.
Lynda said: “Serving as Chair of East of England Community Health and Care has been a privilege and an inspiration. I have loved the role and am proud of the progress we have made. Every day I have seen the extraordinary commitment of our colleagues, who deliver care with professionalism, compassion and determination in people's homes, communities, clinics and hospitals across the East of England. I am very sorry to leave such a wonderful organisation and such great colleagues.
“Whilst it is a fantastic role, it feels like the right time to pass the challenge to someone new. They’ll join at an exciting time and be able to work alongside our teams to further strengthen and shape our services around the needs of our communities.”
CEO Matthew Winn said: “Lynda’s leadership and guidance has played a vital role in our success over the last three years, and we’ll be very sorry to see her go.
“Our new Chair, we will be someone, who like Lynda, not only brings the right skills but also shares our values and vision. They will lead an organisation and Board totally focused on partnership, innovation and helping people in our communities to live healthier lives.”
The recruitment process for the new Trust Chair opens today.
