As we celebrate AHP Day, we're shining a spotlight on Peter, whose career journey demonstrates the fantastic development opportunities available for Allied Health Professionals.
After seeing an opportunity in the Trust newsletter, Peter embarked on a Leadership Apprenticeship to broaden his skills and explore a new career direction. Building on learning from the Trust's Chrysalis programme, the apprenticeship enabled Peter to develop his leadership knowledge, confidence and strategic thinking while continuing to work within healthcare settings.
Supported by colleagues, family and tutors throughout the two-year programme, Peter successfully graduated earlier this year and has recently been appointed as the new Service Manager for Dynamic Health.
Reflecting on the experience, Peter said the apprenticeship was transformative, helping him develop the confidence to influence change, think more strategically and prepare for the next stage of his career.
